INTERNAL SPONSORSHIPS

Thank you for your willingness to support and grow our Black Programs here at New Mexico State University. With its established presence starting in 1972, we are committed to encouraging scholarship, leadership, and advocacy from our Programs here at NMSU.

We are appreciative of the commitment financially to fund various events, programs, and initiatives that embrace our culture from the lens of African/African American/Black/African Diaspora here on campus.

Your donation helps cultivate presence and representation of equity, inclusion, and diversity on our camps and we look forward to partnering and collaborating with your unit.

SUPPORT BLACK PROGRAMS

Whether you are an individual, alumni, organization, or corporation, your support of NMSU Black Programs fosters not only a financial commitment but the development and opportunity for students and their academic and aspirational goals.

Funds to Support

Scholarships: We have a general scholarship fund that assists students who may identify need and/or assistance with cost of attendance.  If there is a major, interest, or affinity, this is a great opportunity to establish scholarship(s) that will create a legacy and consistent level of support for incoming and continuing students.

Sankofa Living Learning Community: The Sankofa Living Learning Community was created for and by student leaders in 2021.  This concept (LLC) allows students from various backgrounds, locations, and majors to engage intentionally with the college community at large while celebrating Black culture.   Your commitment to this will allow for sponsorship for residential costs, peer mentors, and activities/ facilitation for this community.

General Contribution: We are one of the few programs in the Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity office that has programming and activities Fall, Spring, and Summer.   Your contribution to our general funds assists yearly operating costs, expanding co-curricular support for continuing undergraduate and graduate students, and development and support of new initiatives.
